This is why we are here

Here’s a sobering thought:
Everything that has ever happened, from the big bang to now… through the evolution of species… from the Roman empire to the Enlightenment to now at this very moment… all of it has led to this event: Me sitting wide awake on the couch in my boxers at 1:45am with a splitting headache, coughing my guts up and watching Fletch Lives.

Hello, ‘Wide awake at 2am’.
I’ve come to talk with you again.
Because this headache painfully creeping
Prevents any chance of me sleeping.
And the tumor that is planted in my brain
Causes pain.
It’s like the sound of sirens.
